Another change in my little boy's room. This time I've sewn pillow covers. I have prepared for you easy tutorial, how to sew pillow cover?

Step1. Measure your pillow.
Step2. Cut front and back pieces. Back pieces should be about 10 inches longer.
Step 3. Cut the back piece in half, next fold long edge over and sew 2x.
Step 4. Position fabric pieces and pin together.
Step 5. Sew around edges.
Step 6. Flip right sides out.

Done.

Of course, finishes is an individual matter :-).

Currently, I almost have done my son's wardrobe. About this soon.
And tomorrow, I and my blogging friend invite you to join our photography project.

Rabbit Hand Puppet.

I noticed that my son really laughing as he saw the hand puppets. I not know why!? I decided to make him one. It was also a good reason for me to practice sewing on a sewing machine.

hmmm...  like it?!

uff... I can start.

First, I prepared a paper template.

We start from the head of a rabbit.
  • Sew Part 1 with 1a (left) and 1b (right)
  • When the rabbit ears are ready to sew them parts 1
  • Sew part 3a with 3b
  • Ready part of the head (1, 1a, 1b, 2a, 2b, 3a, 3b), then sewn with Part 4

So it looks without ears, but it's better sew them before.

* I have reduced it by half. Before reducing the check, it might be a good fit for your hand.
  • When the rabbit paws are ready to sew them part 7
  • sew Part 7(back) with 1a, 1, 1 b
  • sew Part 6(front) with 3a, 3b
  • sew Part 6 with 7
You can use a different order.

Ready.

Have fun!

Christmas Stocking with pompoms.

Pom-poms are useful for many craft projects. I've used pompoms to the first  my son's Christmas Stocking  . This is my first Christmas Stocking Crochet. I think, it is successful ;-)

The first method. It is perfect for bigger pompons.

 1. Cut two cardboard rounds. Cut a small round hole in the middle of them. Smaller than I did :-)

2. Wind the rounds closely with yarn.

3.The best continue until the round is entirely covered. Put the scissors in between the two circles of the cardboard and cut open yarn that lay round the outer edge.

4. Draw a piece of thread between the two circles and knot it firmly round the stitches that meet in the centre hole. Leave sufficiently long ends.

5. Snip the thread with your scissors until it becomes quite fluffy and the ball is round.

The second method. It is perfect for small pompoms.

Alteration my baby boy's clothes.

My son Kai, being the fourth and youngest boy in our family, he often wears clothes by their cousins. I fixed up and added them something new. Usually I paint something. This is my first applique sewn. Simple and sweet.

Clothes before alteration.

Some clothes that I had repaired.

Materials and Tools
- a small scrap of fabric
- scissors, needle
- sewing machine (optional, as this can easily be done by hand)

My practical hedgehog.

Once the heart applique is ready, decide where you want to position it and to sew them a sewing machine.

Once you've finished stitching, you are done! It's easy!
You can take these same principles and try out different words, animals, etc.

I hope you enjoyed this boy's heart t-shirt tutorial.
This is my first applique.
I am learning to sew on a sewing machine. I think the next will be more complicated.
